Greensboro residents and visitors are in for a treat when they come through Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI). Photographer Andrew Bowen’s work is on display near the Delta/United baggage claim area. The exhibit features six images that were created from a collaboration with the Greensboro Ballet and Andrew Bowen Photography.

 

 “I am so proud that the work with the dancers at Greensboro Ballet came to yield these (and more) images that celebrate the control, strength and beauty of dance and the human body,” said Bowen.

 

Bowen’s partnership with the Greensboro Ballet began last year when he created collateral work for advertising and it morphed into something bigger. Bowen expressed his enjoyment in this collaboration because there are two artists working toward perfection simultaneously.

 

“I see shapes and lighting, they see technique. When I show the dancers the images that capture their skill, it adds confidence to their art,” stated Bowen, who added, “I started my career in photography to do something lasting that matters, and all of my work loops back to things that matter, such as family portraits, senior portraits and most recently, the dance series.”
