Mazal Tov to Madelyn Renne, who submitted artwork to the Center for Israel Education (CIE)'s Israel @ 75 International Student Art Competition. Madelyn earned first place in the 6th-8th grade category and will receive a monetary prize for her accomplishment! Her colorful poster features the struggles and perseverance of The Women of the Wall and their efforts to have a place and voice in reading from the Torah at the Kotel, the Western Wall, despite opposition.

The Israel @ 75 International Student Competition was part of Dr. Karen Dresser's  4th - 7th grade B'nai Shalom Art Curriculum this year, combining research about Israeli history through stamps (4th-5th grades) and Israeli history through posters (6th and 7th grades).
